Colour Aftercare
The First Three Days After Your Appointment:
Your hair is in a sensitive state as your color locks in and your hair follicles settle. Follow these precautions:
• Avoid washing or wetting your hair. Water can cause color transfer, fading, or breakage.
• Handle your hair gently. Avoid tying it up, rough brushing, or sleeping on coarse fabrics. A silk pillowcase is recommended.
• Avoid high heat. Keep styling tools under 150°C to prevent color fade and damage.
• Use only approved products. Non-recommended products can compromise your results.
Lightening Services:
• Mild scalp tightness or flaking is normal.
• Blisters or irritation can occur but should be monitored. Contact us if you’re concerned.
Bright/Direct Dye Services:
• Protect light fabrics and surfaces, as color transfer is common during this period.
• Always follow your stylist’s advice for managing vibrant shades.
Your First Wash at Home:
1. Brush hair gently, starting from the ends.
2. Wet your hair. For bright colors, use cold water.
3. Shampoo twice with stylist-recommended products.
4. Condition and treat as advised, again using cold water for bright colors.
5. Brush gently, style with recommended products, and avoid scalp stimulation.
Ongoing Care:
• Maintain your home care routine and restock products as needed.
• Use color-support products as advised (e.g., Fabuloso Purple Shampoo for blondes or Fab Pro custom conditioners for vibrant shades).
• Plan regular salon visits (6–12 weeks) to keep your hair looking its best.
Bright Hair Lifestyle Tips
Having vibrant hair requires extra care. Here’s how to maintain it:
• Avoid swimming in oceans and pools unless prepped by your stylist.
• Wash with cold water to preserve color vibrancy.
• Shampoo less frequently—dry shampoo (e.g., Evohair Water Killer) is your best friend.
• Protect light fabrics and surfaces from color transfer.
• Use high-quality hot tools with temperature control (set to 150°C unless advised otherwise).
• Be prepared for regular at-home and in-salon maintenance. If this lifestyle feels overwhelming, talk to your stylist for alternative options.
Extensions Aftercare
Hair extensions are the next level of commitment. Here’s how to care for them:
• Wait 48 hours before washing to let the glue set.
• Avoid protein-based products on extensions. Use only stylist-recommended products.
• Keep hot tools and hairdryers away from glue bonds.
• Sleep with a silk pillowcase and braid your extensions to prevent tangling.
• Brush regularly, starting from the ends.
• Plan ahead for re-taping appointments to avoid damage.
Note on Coloring Extensions:
Extensions may respond differently to color due to prior chemical treatments. Contact us if you notice any unusual changes.
